I’m ecstatic! I’ve been saying for a while now that the ladies are just around the corner… that this whole dirty rocker-chic / hipster thing has to end soon. Not that there’s anything wrong with the look, it’s just that it’s not for everyone. Not only that, but we’ve been on it for a while now, and aren’t we ready for something “new”?
Yipeeee! Thank you Mr. Jacobs (ironic coming from the man who brought haute “grunge”, but whatever)! I can’t wait for this look to filter down to the masses.

The Ladies of Louis
Loving the ladies of the new Louis campaign.

Not a slouch in sight!
Isn’t it refreshing to see waists, clean hair and color & prints?! I was so happy when I first saw this collection…
…and LADY BAGS GALORE! Wahoo!
Here are a few of our own that perfectly fit the bill:

Sana bag in Aqua & Gold Brocade

Anisa Lune Bag

Saja Kelly Clutch
What do you think of the turn towards Ladylike?
Check out the (large and in charge) Sereno clutch in this month’s issue of Brides!

- Amanda Pearl Sereno in Brides Magazine
I would DEFINITELY listen to what they have to say, btw. ”A fab accessory is the ultimate finishing touch, so don’t feel guilty about splurging–you’ll carry that statement piece for seasons to come.”
… and check out the Gobstopper Necklace chillin’ on a chair on page 208:

AP HEARTS BRIDES!

Garance Dore’s posts make me want to have fluorescent toes and see-through shoes:

So very sunny and happy:

Garance's Toes
This is the one I wear all summer long:

Chanel's Heatwave
Now I just need the shoes!

How about these?
Anna Dello Russo is sort of my hero. She unapologetically does (wears) whatever the heck she wants and looks as though she thoroughly enjoys every minute of it. Oh to not bother with self-consciousness. I think everyone should take a page from her book!

"The Unstoppable Anna Dello Russo, Milan" from The Sartorialist

ADL from Jak & Jil Blog
By the looks of things, Anna needs this bag:

Limited Edition Black Lace Roll Clutch

What do you think of her looks?
One of the more stunning things I’ve ever seen… From the Chanel Fall 2010 Couture show:

Pearly Dress

Pictures from Style.com
Wearing that dress, you might as well go all out pearly and carry our ivory and pearl Pasha bag:

I definitely need a copy of this for my wall at work.
I really enjoy things that crack me up. Even the little ones. Life is too short not to, so I allow myself to become hysterical over the goofy. Why not?
These are kind of gross (and maybe not very “Amanda Pearl” perhaps), but they make me chuckle nonetheless. Click to go to the original site with instructions on how to make your own (as well as to see other images).
I will spare you the comments about making something fun and light out of death, comparisons to Hirst, etc…

Chillin'

Wheeeee!
I know, I know, I’m very behind in the blogging. To tide you over for the moment, here’s a little something I saw and loved on Jak & Jil:

TROMPE L’OEIL SKIRT BY PRADA
I want this skirt! I need this skirt!
I know there’s nothing terribly new and groundbreaking about the Dior Resort 2011 collection, and the things it references are oft used. That being said, I love the look. Sometimes the tried and true are just what you want…

Jean Seberg in À Bout de Souffle

If I were ever to get the opportunity to wear one of these gorgeous confections, I would pair my
Teardrop Gobstopper Earrings:

Ooh la la!
